| Shepherd's Centers of America | |||
| Begun in Kansas City in 1972, more than 90 Shepherd's Centers have been established so far in 26 states. These community senior centers enable people of all faiths to work together to enrich their later years. They offer seniors opportunities for personal growth such as an Adventures in Education program, volunteer work, self-expression and close friendships. An equally important goal is to help older adults remain independent in their own living situation as long as they choose. | |||
